The Cleveland Leadership Center's annual Accelerate 2021 event took place yesterday and Project DeLight was selected as the winner of the Quality of Life category (sponsored by MetroHealth) and rewarded $2000 as "seed" money to implement solutions! 🏆🏆🏆

With the money, I plan to contact city council members in my community at Solon, OH to try to introduce shields on outdoor lights or even change inefficient light bulbs to more innovative types like LEDs.
I hope that sharing Project DeLight at the Accelerate 2021 event can inspire others to consider light pollution as a more significant problem. The event and its finalists have already been mentioned on a variety of news sites (check them out!):
